Previous experience:

CEO of PROFINANCE, S.A. (1989-1992), a Venture Capital firm with funds of €8 million and a policy of majority stock ownership in its portfolio companies (one of the pioneering companies in developing this kind of activity in Spain);

Responsible for the corporate area of "GRUP DE SERVEIS S.A". - Caixa de Barcelona Group (1986-1989);

Head officer of the "Servei de Política Industrial de la GENERALITAT DE CATALUNYA", Industry and Energy Department (1981-1986), in charge of implementing a support policy for the industrial sector, and taking part in all the restructuring plans during that period;

Head officer of the "Servicio de Inversiones Extranjeras del MINISTERIO DE INDUSTRIA Y ENERGÍA" (1980-81), responsible for the analysis and monitoring of foreign industrial investments in Spain and the industrial relationships with France and Eastern Europe.

Born in Barcelona (1952), married, three children. Civil Engineer (1974); MBA (I.E.S.E., 1977).

• SERGIO ALSINA

Partner of ALTA PARTNERS, S.L. His responsibilities are mainly concerned with providing advisory services to companies and industrial groups in mergers, acquisitions, disposals and venture capital transactions. He is also in charge of the firm´s operations in North America and Brazil. Sergio Alsina is a Board member of the Brazilian company TECNOWATT Ltda. and of the Spanish company AUTOEQUIP, S.A.

Previous experience:

Founding partner of the firm ROURE & ASOCIADOS, specialized in providing strategic advisory services to big industrial and financial corporations, he worked closely with the management of large corporations such as GAS NATURAL, BANCO SANTANDER, ARGENTARIA, CITROEN, BANKINTER y DEUTSCHE BANK.

Born in Barcelona (1963), married, three children. Telecommunications Engineer (UPC, 1987); MBA (I.E.S.E. 1991). Professor of Corporate Strategy at the Master Program of Pompeu Fabra University.

• JUAN MARTÍNEZ DE TEJADA

Partner of ALTA PARTNERS, S.L., his current responsibilities include providing advisory services to companies and industrial groups in mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and venture capital transactions, focusing on the TMT (technology, media and telecommunications) sector.

Previous experience:

Marketing Director and Solutions Division Director in SCHLUMBERGER (1994-98), a multinational services and measuring systems company for the energy and oil distribution industries;

Project Director in the Telecommunications and Energy Area of INSTITUT CERDÀ (1990-94), where he worked in consultancy projects for the main electrical, gas, telecommunications and electronic components companies, as well as for public agencies;

Product Manager in PHILIPS Computing and Communications (1988-90).

• OSCAR LLAUDET

Partner of ALTA PARTNERS, S.L.,
with responsibilities in the area of advisory services to companies and industrial groups in mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and venture capital transactions.

Previous experience:

Head officer of the Corporate Finance department of AB ASESORES (later acquired by MORGAN STANLEY DEAN WITTER) in Catalunya (1998-2001);

Director of Corporate Banking (key accounts) at BARCLAYS BANK (1991-97), working between 1995 and 1997 in BARCLAYS BANK PLC/BZW (London), in the Risk Management and Acquisition Finance areas.

Born in Barcelona (1965), married, two children. Degree in Economics and Business Administration (University of Barcelona); MBA (I.E.S.E., 1991). Professor of International Trade in the "Escuela Superior de Comercio Internacional" (ESCI), and presents a seminar on Finance in the "Palau de les Heures".

Previous experience:

He started his career in DG Bank Luxembourg. He was Responsible of the Sales Department in the Instituto Tecnológico y de Negocios (ITB) and worked in Bankinter’s agent network. Currently he is Assistant Manager in Marketing & Finanzas Business School in Bilbao.

Xabier Morales was born in Bilbao (1977), he holds a Marketing Degree (1998) by the Escuela Universitaria ESMA, an Executive MBA (2006) by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Postgraduate in Management and Financial Management by MAF Business School, Program in Logistics Management by the Instituto Catalán de Logística and Postgraduate in OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) by the Universidad del País Vasco.

• ELOI CATALAN
  Project manager

Eloi Catalán joined Alta Partners in 2006.

He holds a BA in Economics & Business Sciences and Insurance Actuary by the Universidad de Barcelona and an MBA by ESADE Business School. He has worked as Senior Consultant in the Financial Advisory Division of Mercer HR Consulting and as Senior Consultant for Mercer Oliver Wyman. Previously, he worked as an Account Manager for Swiss Life (Spain).

Since 2003 he is a Corporate Finance assistant professor at ESADE Business School's MBA programs.

• ALBERT TOMÁS

Albert Tomás joined Alta Partners in 2007.

He holds a BA in Economics & Business Sciences by the Universidad de Barcelona and an MBA by ESADE Business School. Albert Tomás has over 8 years of experience working for financial entities, in Private and Corporate Banking.

He is an assistant professor of Corporate Finance and Financial Management at ESADE Business School's MBA programs since 2005.

• ALBERT FERRER
  Investment analyst.

Albert Ferrer joined Alta Partners in 2009.

He holds a BA in Business Administration and MBA by ESADE Business School, with an exchange program in the University of British Columbia, Vancouver (Canada). Albert Ferrer has over 3 years of experience in strategic consulting, in the Private Equity and Corporate Finance department of Arthur D. Little.

• JOSÉ A. ASTACIO

José A. Astacio joined Alta Partners in 2005.

He holds a BA in Economics and Business Sciences by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (Dominican Republic) and a Master in Financial Management by the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. Before joining Alta Partners, he had previously worked as a Branch Sub-director for Banco Popular Dominicano.
